How to Watermark a Video Online — 3 Steps
Burn your name, brand, or URL directly into the video frames — processed server-side with FFmpeg's drawtext filter, permanent and platform-proof.
Upload your video
Select any MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, FLV, or WMV file up to 500 MB. No account required — your file goes directly to the processor.
Set your watermark
Type up to 100 characters of text, then pick a position (corners or center), a font size, and how transparent the watermark should be over your footage.
Download your video
Click Add watermark and download the watermarked MP4 as soon as it is ready. The output is compatible with every platform, editor, and device.
Why Watermark Your Videos?
A visible watermark is the simplest protection against content theft — and free brand exposure wherever your video travels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the watermark permanent?
Yes. The text is rendered into the video frames during re-encoding — it becomes part of the picture itself. Unlike metadata or subtitle overlays, a burned-in watermark cannot be switched off or stripped by platforms and downloaders.
Where should I place my watermark?
The bottom-right corner is the most common choice — visible but unobtrusive. Use center placement for preview or draft versions you want to make unusable without permission. Avoid the bottom edge if you post to platforms that overlay their own UI there (TikTok, Reels).
What opacity should I use?
70% (the default) reads clearly without dominating the footage. Drop to 40–50% for a subtle mark over busy footage, or raise to 100% for maximum protection on preview cuts.
Can I add a logo or image watermark?
Not yet — the tool currently supports text watermarks: your name, channel handle, brand, or URL. Image and logo watermarks are planned for a future update.
Does watermarking reduce video quality?
The video is re-encoded with H.264 at high quality settings, which introduces minimal generation loss — the same as any edit that modifies the picture. The watermark itself is rendered crisply at your chosen size.
Is my video kept private?
Yes. Your uploaded video and the watermarked output are automatically deleted from our servers within 60 minutes. We never store, sell, or analyse your content.
