Select any MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, FLV, or WMV file up to 100 MB. No account required — your file goes directly to the processor.
Choose a rotation angle
Select 90° CW to rotate right, 90° CCW to rotate left, or 180° to flip the video upside down. iPhone portrait videos are usually fixed with 90° CW or CCW.

Common Reasons to Rotate a Video
Most sideways or upside-down videos come from mobile devices — this tool permanently fixes the orientation so every player shows it correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my iPhone video play sideways?
iPhones and most smartphones store rotation as metadata rather than physically rotating the video frames. Many video platforms (YouTube, social media embeds, some desktop players) ignore this metadata flag and display the raw frames — which appear rotated. Using this tool permanently rotates the actual frames, so the video plays correctly everywhere.
Which rotation should I choose to fix my sideways video?
If the video appears rotated 90° to the left (i.e. you need to tilt your head right to view it correctly), choose 90° CW. If it's rotated 90° to the right (tilt your head left), choose 90° CCW. If it's upside down, choose 180°.
Does rotating the video reduce quality?
Yes, slightly. The video is re-encoded with H.264 (a high-quality, widely compatible codec) at a standard quality level. There is a small generation loss compared to the original, just as with any transcode. For archival purposes, consider keeping the original file alongside the rotated copy.
What happens to the audio?
The audio track is preserved and re-encoded to AAC. The rotation process only changes the video geometry — audio content, timing, and quality are unaffected.
Is my video kept private?
Yes. Your uploaded video and the rotated output are automatically deleted from our servers within 60 minutes of processing. We never store, sell, or analyse your content.
Is this tool completely free?
Yes — no account, no watermarks, no subscription required. Upload, rotate, and download.
